MANILA — DoubleDragon said Monday it was in talks with several groups to bring its Hotel 101 brand to other Asian countries. Among possible expansion sites for Hotel 101 include Vietnam, Hokkaido in Japan, Phuket in Thailand and Bali in Indonesia, DoudleDragon told the stock exchange, confirming a newspaper report. The company said it was planning to become the first Filipino hotel chain to go international. Established by billionaires Edgar “Injap” Sia and Tony Tan Caktiong, DoubleDragon has interests in community malls, office space, industrial leasing and hospitality. Tan Caktiong is the founder of the country’s largest fastfood operator, Jollibee Foods Corp.
