MANILA – Google on Friday said it has opened another office in Manila amid a growing need for services in the country’s digital economy. The new Google office is located across its older office building in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. It will house employees who work under Google Services Philippines, the firm said in a statement. Opening a new office is part of Google’s continued commitment in supporting the growth of the Philippines’ digital economy, Google Philippines Country Manager Ken Lingan said in a statement. “Over the last three years, we’ve welcomed new Google products and services to the Philippines and have seen a flourishing creator and developer ecosystem. These emphasized the country’s growth as a developing digital market and an important player in Google’s operations infrastructure,” Lingan said. The new office carries a Filipino theme similar to its first one, Google said. Google’s Director and Site Lead for Google Services Griffin Golamco said the expansion will help them “engage better” with users, partners and advertisers around the world.
