Filipino veteran actor Eddie Garcia continues to be in critical condition at the Makati Medical Center where he is being treated after an on-set accident last June 8. “He remains dependent on the ventilator to breathe and medications to support his blood pressure. His latest electroencephalogram (EEG) study showed minimal brain activity,” Dr. Artemio Salvador, Patient Relations Department Division Head of the Makati Medical Center, said in a statement. Dr. Salvador added that visitors are still strictly limited to prevent complications from occurring. Last Friday, Garcia’s family has agreed to place the multi-awarded actor on DNR or “do-not-resuscitate” status. Garcia, 90, sustained a neck fracture injury after tripping and falling down while shooting a TV series for GMA Network last June 8. He was first taken to the Mary Johnston Hospital for treatment before being transferred to the Makati Medical Center Sunday.
