MANILA, Philippines — The western part of Luzon will have overcast skies and rainy weather on Sunday because of the southwest monsoon or habagat, state meteorologists said Saturday.
In its latest bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), Zambales, and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms also brought by the habagat.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience a fair weather condition with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina, in a public weather forecast, said the country is not expecting any low pressure area inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the coming days.
Badrina added that the state weather bureau has not raised any gale warnings in any of the country's seaboards.
