PETALING JAYA: Low-income earners in Ayer Hitam received food aid and basic necessities from their MP to help them weather the increase in the cost of living due to inflation.
Ayer Hitam MP, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said 2,000 sets of food aids and basic necessities were distributed among the lower-income earners to help them with their financial burdens.
Dr Wee who is on an official working visit to Melaka had the contributions distributed by Semarang assemblyman Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon.
Both assemblymen delivered the contribution to village chiefs who later distributed them to the recipients accordingly.
"I will continue to help the people, especially the people of Ayer Hitam and hope that this contribution can help ease the burden of the community," he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (June 25).
