Next year, Alphabet Inc's Google plans to phase out technology in its Chrome browser that lets other companies track users' web browsing . The Altroz iTurbo is a combination of power and performance
The Altroz is a striking looking hatchback with ample space offering an excellent ride and handling balance; a fly in the ointment was the sole petrol engine on offer. Now however, there is a new turbo-petrol which promises improved performance. So what is it like? On paper it certainly delivers. Power is bumped up to 110hp while torque has risen from 113Nm to 140Nm. Coming to its performance, there is good news and bad. The good bit is that the extra power is certainly apparent — the car no longer feels underpowered. Demand more, however, and it will leave you wanting. The trouble is that, while performance is an improvement over the naturally aspirated unit, it is still not as strong as some other small displacement turbo-petrols. Also, the Altroz uses indirect or port injection, which is not as sophisticated as the direct-injection turbo-petrols of its rivals. Riding the torque wave Look at the Altroz Turbo as a more powerful version of the regular Altroz and it starts ... » Learn More about The Altroz iTurbo is a combination of power and performance
Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 Coupé: Nine-speed gearbox, plenty of kit, and strong performance
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé has been launched in India, in high-performance AMG 53 guise. The second-gen model has grown in size and price, but also packs more in tech, and a new mild-hybrid 3.0-litre, in-line six, twin-turbo petrol engine. So, can it recreate the success its predecessor? The GLE 53 Coupé looks sharper and more attractive than the outgoing 43 and has massive road presence. The shovel-like nose makes it instantly recognisable as a GLE, and while styling is similar to the standard SUV, the roof-line dips from the B-pillar onwards ending in an integrated spoiler on the tailgate to give that coupé profile. The 53 also gets aggressive design elements such as the AMG ‘Panamericana’ grille, power bulges on the bonnet, and quad exhaust pipes. Inside, the GLE 53’s cabin is in line with the standard GLE, but with a lot more pizazz and character. The dashboard looks a tad special due to the carbon-fibre trim and other sporty touches. The cabin feels big and airy, and the ... » Learn More about Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 Coupé: Nine-speed gearbox, plenty of kit, and strong performance

CERAWEEK-Exports to drive U.S. natural gas demand growth, but pipelines needed
U.S. domestic consumption of natural gas will peak around 2030 but rising pipeline and liquefied natural gas ( LNG ) exports should keep demand for the fuel growing through 2050, Matthew Palmer, senior director at IHS Markit , said on Wednesday. Moving that gas from the states where it is produced to places were it can be consumed or exported, however, will become increasingly challenging, Palmer said at IHS Markit's CERAWeek conference. He said IHS Markit does not expect any new big interstate gas pipes to be built after the $5.8 billion-$6.0 billion Mountain Valley pipeline from West Virginia to Virginia enters service, expected earliest by the end of the year. "The challenges in the court system and the expense of building these infrastructure projects have made them very difficult to proceed with," Palmer said. Mountain Valley is one of several U.S. oil and gas pipelines delayed in recent years by regulatory and legal fights with states and environmental groups ... » Learn More about CERAWEEK-Exports to drive U.S. natural gas demand growth, but pipelines needed
