FULL LIST: 2018 bar exam passers (Philstar.com) - May 3, 2019 - 12:00pm MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court announced Friday the results of the 2018 bar examinations, with Sean James Borja of Ateneo De Manila University topping the grueling test. Out of the 8,155 law graduates who finished the 2018 bar exams, 1,800 passed. The 2017 bar exams posted a passing rate of 22.07%. MANILA -- The University of the Philippines soared in a London-based publication's ranking of the top schools in Asia. It was UP's first time to crack the top 100 of Times Higher Education's list and one of only 5 Southeast Asian universities in the top 100. Singapore and Malaysia had 2 each. The Philippines' premiere state university was at 95th place, up 61 places from 156th in 2018. UP has been on the list since 2017. With an overall score of 38.1 points, UP remained the highest ranked university from the Philippines. De La Salle University placed 251st to 300th with a score of 20.7 to 23.8. The list was topped by Tsinghua University in China with 83.1 points followed by the National University of Singapore with 81.5 points. Completing the top 5 were the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the University of Hong Kong and China's Peking University. If Avengers: Endgame ending was heartbreaking, then Game of Thrones' episode 3 shattered our hearts into million pieces. Listed property firms have continued to show presales growth in the first quarter of this year, according to a survey by The Nation. The trend was confirmed by a property analysis that forecasts listed property firms will see their total revenue grow in the first quarter of this year when compared with the same period of last year, due to most of their customers speeding up property transfers before the Bank of Thailand’s landtovalue (LTV) measure came into effect on April 1. According to announcements by listed property firms for their presales in the first quarter of this year, AP (Thailand) recorded high presales of Bt12.58 billion in the period, pushing the company above 30 per cent of projected presales of Bt41.8 billion for the whole of 2019.
