China is ready to strengthen economic and trade exchanges with the United States, and carry out cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao said on Wednesday. "In the next stage, I look forward to our joint efforts with colleagues in the US, in accordance with the recent phone call between the two leaders, to enhance communication and understanding, focus on cooperation, manage differences, and push bilateral economic and trade relations back to the track of cooperation," Wang said at a news conference. DSC FRAUD CASE HC noted the bank transactions while giving her the bail in multi-crore scam Bombay High Court ( HC) on Tuesday granted bail to Sai Vanjape (39), the niece of the jailed real estate developer Deepak Sakharam Kulkarni, in connection with Rs 2,043 crore cheating case. Sai was arrested in May 2018 and has been lodged in the Yerawada Central Prison since. HC released her on bail observing that “the misappropriated amount Rs 17.32 crore had gone to the corpus of DSK Developers and it clearly shows that the main accused, Deepak Kulkarni , is the beneficiary of the same”. Justice Nitin W Sambre has passed the order with various conditions. To prevent the misuse of social media, the Union government on Thursday announced new rules that make it mandatory for platforms such as WhatsApp to aid the government in identifying the “originator” of certain messages containing unlawful information, while also requiring social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to remove such content within 36 hours of being notified. As per the Information Technology (Guidelines for intermediaries and digital media ethics code) Rules, 2021, social media platforms will also be required to provide information, including related to verification of identity, to lawfully authorised agencies within 72 hours.
