Young activists launch awareness drives on correct ways to throw medical waste, demand that PMC install bins for this on all roads Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the disposal of onetime use masks has become a big concern for the city as there are no norms in place for the same. To spread awareness on this issue and grab the attention of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to take more steps for it, five youth-led NGOs working for different causes have come together to spread the message of proper disposal of masks and gloves. While a cyclist group will be promoting awareness on their rides, a group supporting veganism will do so through webinars, while a plogging team is encouraging cloth masks while engaged in their task.
