OPEC+ to weigh modest oil output boost at meeting – sources
LONDON/MOSCOW: OPEC+ oil producers will discuss a modest easing of oil supply curbs from April given a recovery in prices, OPEC+ sources said, although some suggest holding steady for now given the risk of new setbacks in the battle against the pandemic. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies, known as OPEC+, cut output by a record 9.7 million bpd last year as demand collapsed due to the pandemic. As of February, it is still withholding 7.125 million bpd, about 7% of world demand. In January OPEC+ slowed the pace of a planned output increase to match weaker-than-expected demand due to continued coronavirus lockdowns. Saudi Arabia made extra voluntary cuts for February and March. Three OPEC+ sources said an output increase of 500,000 barrels per day from April looked possible without building up inventories, although updated supply and demand balances that ministers will consider at their March 4 meeting will determine their decision. Relocation helps alleviate poverty in Tibet
Living in an extremely harsh environment at high altitude is one of the primary causes of poverty in the Tibet autonomous region. To solve it, the region has relocated people to more favorable places over the years. For residents of Bupal village, it paid off. Bupal is located in steep, treacherous terrain in Tsawarong township in Tibet's Zayul county. Bordering Yunan province, the township is remote and lacks farmland — typical of such poor villages before 2015. Relocating residents changed everything for the better. The people of Bupal had lived on steep mountain slopes. Their shared problems included difficult transportation, unsafe drinking water and poor housing. With an investment more than 70 million yuan ($11 million), more than 400 families and single residents of Bupal and five other communities of Tsawarong were relocated to Rongmad in Zayul county in 2015, wherre the average altitude is 1,600 meters, far lower than Tibet's average of 4,000 meters. Ind vs Eng third Test at Motera | The Axar-Ashwin show: India hammers England in day-night Test inside two days
Left-arm spinner Axar Patel created an illusion of turn with 11 straighter deliveries that put India on the brink of the World Test Championship final with a 10-wicket demolition of England inside two days in the day-night third Test in Ahmedabad on Thursday. In only his second Test, Patel (15-0-32-5), with a match-haul of 11/70, relentlessly hit the good length area and hoodwinked England batsmen, who played for turn only to find that there was none on offer from him. The result was their lowest total against India — 81 all out in 30.4 overs leaving the hosts with a target of 49 which they achieved with minimum fuss taking a 2-1 lead in the four-match series. The visitors were also knocked out of contention from the WTC final. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (15-3-48-4) proved to be an ideal foil for Patel, becoming the fourth Indian bowler and second fastest in the world to complete a commendable milestone of 400 Test wickets with the dismissal of Jofra Archer. Incidentally, ... » Learn More about Ind vs Eng third Test at Motera | The Axar-Ashwin show: India hammers England in day-night Test inside two days
