On Wednesday, Pune district reported 1,696 new patients, taking the case tally till date to 4,13,000. Four people succumbed to the virus on the same day, and the death toll now stands at 8,119. There are 16,491 active cases undergoing treatment in hospitals or in home isolation in the district; so far, 3,89,000 people have fought the infection and recovered.
