MANILA -- With a total of 105 shows, it’s goodbye for now for the hit musical “Sa Wakas,” which had its closing show last Sunday with composer Ebe Dancel and some cast members from its first two runs in attendance. The former Sugarfree front man composed all the songs that were arranged by Ejay Yatco for the original Pinoy rock musical that had its premiere back in April 2013. Dr David Goodall does not have a terminal illness, but his quality of life has deteriorated and he has secured a fast-track appointment with assisted dying agency Lifecircle in Basel. He got on a plane in Perth late on Wednesday surrounded by friends and family saying their final goodbyes, euthanasia advocates told AFP. He will spend several days with other family members in Bordeaux, France, before heading to Switzerland, where he is due to end his life on May 10. By Tim Bontemps The Washington Post Wed., April 25, 2018 OAKLAND, Calif.—For so many years, the San Antonio Spurs have been the NBA’s constant. The names and faces have remained constant as well: Gregg Popovich. Tim Duncan. Manu Ginóbili. Tony Parker. R.C. Buford. By the time San Antonio was eliminated by the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, there was almost a sense of relief around this franchise. It also felt like the end of an era. Duncan retired two years ago. Parker and Ginobili are both free agents and could find themselves playing elsewhere next season or retiring, respectively. Popovich hasn’t been with the team for the past week … [Read more...] about End of an NBA dynasty as Spurs bow out of playoffs
