NEW DELHI: Airlines will now be able to offer in-flight Wi-Fi in Indian skies. Nelco, a Tata Group VSAT solutions provider, on Wednesday announced the launch of aero in-flight communication (IFC) services in India. Nelco, the first Indian company to provide this service, has partnered with Panasonic Avionics Corporation for offering these services. Vistara has already signed up for Aero IFC services and will be the first domestic airline company to launch them very soon. The airline will offer IFC on its Dreamliners and Airbus A321s. It will showcase its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on March 2 which will start international flights to cities like London and Tokyo from April onwards. With Nelco launching IFC, it will be possible for international aircrafts flying over India as well as domestic airlines to offer broadband internet services to its passengers on board.
