Jakarta. Indonesia, an emerging middle-income country, is already the world's 16th largest economy by gross domestic product and the 10th strongest in terms of purchasing power parity, and a member of the G-20. A number of global consultancy firms and banks have reported that the world's fourth most populous nation, which has charted impressive economic growth since overcoming the Asian financial crisis in 1997-1998, has yet to unleash its true economic potentials, given the country has a large young population, is rich in natural resources and is currently seeing a middle class boom – which has boosted the number of its affluent consumers. WASHINGTON: Sales of new U.S. single-family homes fell from near an 11-1/2-year high in April as prices rebounded and manufacturing activity slowed to its lowest level in nearly a decade in May, pointing to a slowdown in economic activity. But other data on Thursday showed the number of Americans filing claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week. On Monday, even before Biden delivered his first speech at a campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Trump was melting down like a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s in a microwave. While glued to Fox News, he fired up his tweet machine and raged at the International Association of Fire Fighters for its endorsement of Biden. He attacked the “Media (Fake News)” for “pushing” his new rival, “Sleepy Joe Biden.” Reading between the lines, you could see the tears. On Friday, the day after Biden declared his candidacy, Trump was so spooked, he tried to make it sound as if the ex-vice-president was a narcoleptic retiree in his ’90s while he was a high-school decathlete: “I just feel like a young man. I’m so young. I can’t believe it. I’m the youngest person. I am a young, vibrant … [Read more...] about Trump clearly scared of his non-evil twin, Joe Biden
