The goon attacked, robbed local resident on Feb 5 A fortnight ago, a 31-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by an externed criminal at Laxminagar in Yerawada. The family of the victim has alleged that despite him dragging himself in his injured state to Yerawada police station to file his complaint, the police failed to lodge an FIR and even when they did so after being pursued on it, they left out the sections related to robbery. Vikramjeet Singh Gym, who works for a private company and is a resident of Yerawada, had stepped out with his friends to fetch some food on the night of February 5. He was on his way back home with the parcel at 11.30 pm when the goon — Akash Ghodeswar (resident of Laxminagar) accosted him. He demanded to know why Gym was staring at him.
