This is because several of them are falling ill during the long journeys. The Railways has now appealed to people with hypertension, diabetes and other illnesses to avoid traveling in the trains. “The Ministry of Home Affairs had told people with illnesses must refrain from undertaking travel, but such persons are still travelling. People with co-morbidities face higher risk as compared to the others when traveling for longer duration. People above 65 years of age and pregnant women must avoid travel.
