According to the annual public sector salary disclosure, released last month, 15 GTA mayors hit the $100,000 threshold needed to make the provincial list — with Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti once again taking the top spot in Ontario, pocketing $195,374 in 2017. But a deeper look at the salaries on the Sunshine List shows that what many mayors disclose is only a portion of what they actually take home. And in some cases, even mayors whose names don’t appear on the list make over $100,000 of taxpayers’ dollars — because they also get income from their local municipality and the upper-tier municipality (York, Peel, Durham, and Halton regions.) Since listing our shares in Stock Exchange of Thailand in November 2017, we have successfully launched three new energy projects. Our latest project is the largest one: the planned acquisition of Mae Krating Biomass Power Plant (MKP) with a capacity of 9.9 megawatts in Prae Province. MKP has an 8-megawatt power purchase agreement with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) for 20 years at a high FIT rate of Bt4.62 per unit, considered the most attractive rate compared with the rate of Bt1.80 per unit for the recent SPP Hybrid projects. Expanding CJ plans listing
Managing Director Sathien Setthasit said that the company expected its annual sales to increase from Bt8.9 billion with more than Bt200 million in profit last year , to about Bt12 billion this year, and up to Bt20 billion in sales and Bt1 billion in profit by 2020. “We plan to open 100 new CJ Express stores this year,” he said, adding that each CJ Express store required about Bt10 million of investment, including Bt2 million for merchandises and inventory. CJ Express Group currently has Bt1.4 billion in registered capital. Sathien said to be successful in doing retail business is to create its own strength. “To win the competition in this intense retail market, we need to have product differentiation,” he said. SCB to provide QR payment at Shell outlets
Shell Company of Thailand is furthering the government's national e-payment strategy by joining hands with Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) to provide cashless payment services at its petrol stations, convenience stores and coffee shops. The QR code payment system was made available yesterday at the Shell Lert Trakarn station, opposite SCB's head office on Ratchayothin Road.Ornuthai Na Chiangmai, Shell's executive director of retail business, said digital payment is not only more convenient for consumers but also supports the government's move toward a cashless society as part of the Thailand 4.0 initiative.This is the third country where Shell is offering this payment service, following Britain and the Netherlands.The Lert Trakarn branch is the pilot project, allowing motorists to pay for fuel through QR codes at the "SCB Easy Cashier" machine, an all-in-one electronic data capture (EDC) device for debit cards, credit cards, QR codes, or other future payment methods as well as contactless … [Read more...] about SCB to provide QR payment at Shell outlets
