The viewership of business news genre also went up by 44%, while that of kids and movie genres surged by 31% and 19%.During the period, the overall TV viewership during the period was up by 9% due to the government enforced lockdown but some genres including sports and youth, suffered a major slump in their viewership.For the sports genre, an absence of live sports for over three months and deferment of the Indian Premier League (IPL) resulted in a drop of 67% viewership during the first half. Volkswagen's labour chief Bernd Osterloh has been on a roadshow to tell analysts and investors the carmaker has no need for deeper cost cuts in Germany.Existing cost reduction measures, agreed in 2016, will be enough to help the company to overcome the coronavirus crisis, Osterloh said, according to an analyst note from MainFirst."Osterloh stated that the Future Pact program that was initiated in 2016 is still driving cost down. That gives VW a lead over European peers.
