Chennai : Ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly election, Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) on Wednesday (March 3, 2021) unveiled the agenda for women's welfare. New IoT device to give ambulances the green signal
An IoT (Internet of Things) device that will soon be installed in five major traffic junctions in the city next month will give ambulances the green light, all the way to the incident they are attending, and ensure quick medical aid is provided to the patients. In a first of its kind system used for making emergency services in India more efficient, city based startup Greenline Labs has created a technology called Emergency Response Automation (ERA) that creates a geo-fencing when any ambulance is within 500 metres radius from the traffic signal. This in turn triggers an alert in the traffic junction box that will help in clearing the traffic congestion and turning the traffic lights green for allowing the ambulance to go through without delay. ‘Likely to go live in June’ The startup recently got a go-ahead from GVMC Commissioner M.
