MUMBAI: After appeals from parents, the education department on Friday released a list of nodal officers to receive fee related complaints during the Covid-19 lock down. The department had continued to receive several complaints even after their circulars to schools that asked them not to force parents to pay during the lock down or hike fees this year. The Yuva Sena, the Shiv Sena’s youth wing had demanded that the education department start a helpline for parents to complaint about fee related problems. “The parents do not know whom to approach in case of a fee hike and related issues as the education department offices are shut. So there was a need to give them an one point direct contact,” said Sainath Durge of the Yuva Sena. The department on Friday issued a list of list of 87 nodal officers across 37 districts.
