Minimum vaccination was recorded in Pimpri-Chinchwad where 35 per cent of the beneficiaries turned up. Out of the 800 target, only 278 were immunised at eight session points in the twin city. In Pune city, the response was poor as well. Only 213 of the 600 targeted beneficiaries were vaccinated. On day one, around 55 per cent of the beneficiaries were vaccinated. The numbers fell down to 36 per cent. At the Aundh District Hospital, where the beneficiaries were vaccinated with the Covaxin, also reported decline. Only 35 beneficiaries got the jabb on Tuesday. “The same venue saw around 60 per cent turnout on the inaugural day of vaccination. According to the officials, the CoWIN app was working fine on day two and the beneficiaries were offered a digital certificate of vaccination,” said Dr Ashok Nandapurkar, civil surgeon of Aundh district Hospital.
