After various students who appeared for final year examinations received discrepancies in the results announced, SPPU has decided to scrutinise the complaints and take further steps about the same. At least 18,000 students' data was checked randomly by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), who were marked absent, and out of which 10, 000 students had not logged in at all. While there are approximately 8,000 students who are genuine, SPPU will now check the back end problems and take further decision. Talking about the same, Vaibhav Edke, a student representative said, “We have received complaints from at least 1000 students that they faced discrepancies in the result and have also emailed to SPPU to conduct reexamination for these students.
