New Delhi: Lieutenant Colonel Swaroop Singh Kuntal awarded on the spot Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat for winning Ultraman India in 27 hours 46 minutes. He was awarded on Friday and is probably the first army man to do Ultraman. Ultraman consists of 10 km swimming, 424 km cycling and 84 km running, was organised by Delhi International Triathlon from November 23-25 in Delhi- Gurgaon. The government was forced to call in the army to quell protests in some parts of the country this week after the parliament passed legislation that will prevent undocumented Muslim migrants from three neighboring countries becoming citizens. The change to the law has been criticized by opposition parties as well as by a US federal commission, who say India is moving away from the values of its secular constitution. “There is an economic cost attached to all this, given all the violence that is taking place,” said Amitabh Dubey, an analyst at TS Lombard in New Delhi.
