A series of low-intensity earthquakes since April has jolted every second Delhiite to think about purchasing home insurance according to a survey done by Policybazaar.com. 42% respondents across India and in Delhi don’t have home insurance and are considering buying one in the near future. The survey was conducted among more than 11,000 insurance buyers between July 17 and 21, 2020. The Northern India region is prone to tremors and the National Capital Region (NCR) is situated in the fourth highest risk zone. According to the survey, nearly 73% of the respondents and 57% in the Delhi NCR region said they’ve never considered buying home insurance. A recent study by Castrol India reveals that while one in three truckers and farmers admitted to having health-related issues including backpain, lack of sleep, tiredness and joint pain, only 11% of them were inclined towards building a healthier lifestyle and immunity, which features as one of the lowest priorities among these communities.The study also brings to light that over two-thirds (68%) of the respondents were concerned about the health of their families as well as themselves.
