I love a good burger. It is a world heritage food and every Earthling falls for a good one. But spare me the "press-button" fast-food burgers that come with buns that look like they have been run over by a truck, shrivelled, and with the nasty patty still inside. Muji fans will be excited to visit the new two-storey store at Jewel Changi Airport. The 12th outlet of Japan's popular minimalist brand of household goods, apparel and food, which officially opened last Friday, boasts an extensive range of over 4,000 products and the largest Cafe&Meal Muji in Singapore. The large product range includes apparel, furniture, kitchenware, toiletries, stationery and food items. Mr Naoki Kadoike, the managing director of Muji Singapore and Malaysia, told The New Paper they chose Jewel as it is the centre of South-east Asia, which allows them to showcase the world of Muji. According to Mr Kadoike, Muji predicts their customer base to comprise of 40 per cent tourists and 60 per cent Singaporeans. Muji opened its first duplex store in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport on April 26. Business Insider/Jessica Lin After 16 years on our sunny shores, Japanese brand Muji officially opened its first duplex store in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport on Friday (April 26). Spanning over 1,300 sqm, the new store has over 4,000 products from furniture to snacks. While it’s not the largest Muji store in Singapore (the Plaza Singapura flagship store measures 1,640 sqm), the opening of Muji’s Jewel outlet is still a major milestone in the company’s history here.
