KUANTAN (Bernama): Continuous heavy rain since Saturday (Jan 2) has caused several roads in Pahang to be closed due to landslides or floods on Sunday (Jan 3). Raub OCPD Supt Supt Kama Azural Mohamed said Jalan Raub-Bukit Fraser was closed to all traffic at noon Sunday following two landslides at KM4 and KM6 of the road causing it to be blocked. "While no deaths or injuries have been reported in the incidents, the authorities are still clearing the road and installing warning signage to prevent motorists from accessing the road," he said. Meanwhile, a witness told Bernama that there were nine cars and three motorcycles trapped between the two landslides. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired the signing ceremony of an agreement to use local Thai rubber in road construction, part of an effort to help the country’s financially strapped rubber farmers.
