Ric Sapnu (The Philippine Star) - August 16, 2019 - 12:00am CLARK FREEPORT, Philippines — The Nayon Pilipino Foundation (NPF) is set to re-launch on Oct. 28 one of the country’s popular theme parks here, to be called Nayon Clark Park (NCP). NPF executive director Michelle Aguilar-Ong said NCP will be the home of Filipino diversity, a venue of expression for the arts such as visual, performing, literature, culinary, among others. The theme park will also showcase Filipino history, culture, heritage and tradition, highlighting the 169 indigenous tribes of the Philippines. “The park also aims to be the home of young and struggling artists in various fields,” Ong said. BE prepared for a jaw-some experience as Sunway Lagoon unveils its latest attraction, Sharknado Alive!, the world’s first Sharknado walkthrough themed attraction and experience featured at Scream Park. The attraction celebrates the terror and laughter of the famous fan-driven Sharknado movie franchise with the presence of Anthony C. Ferrante, who is the Director for all six Sharknado movies. “Sharknado Alive! provides guests with a great blend of horror and humour, which will appeal to everyone. CLARK FREEPORT – Remember the old Nayong Pilipino near the then Manila International Airport in Pasay City that packed in a small area a miniature landscape of touristic and cultural features of the Philippines? With its cramped space taken over by terminals sprouting beside the old MIA, the theme park was transferred in 2002 to Clark Field in Pampanga behind the Centennial Expo Pilipino that was having difficulty attracting visitors.
