(ECNS) -- The Medical Center of Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Hong Kong's first totally electronic smart hospital, has been put into operation. Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, the center has 14 floors with 516 inpatient beds, 90 day beds, 28 operating rooms, 56 consulting rooms and 16 specialized medical centers. Each medicine rack in the outpatient pharmacy is equipped with an electronic sensor, which can assist pharmacists to pick medicines accurately and keep electronic records. "When a drug is selected in the PDA program, the corresponding label will light up to show the location of the drug. The pharmacist needs to scan the QR code on the label to make sure it is the expected drug. The light will turn off if the correct drug is taken out of the medicine cabinet. Meanwhile, the batch and expiration date of the drug will be captured when the QR code is scanned, which is convenient for drug recovery," said a pharmacist in CUHK Medical Center. New Delhi: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles ( DICV ) on Wednesday delivered 25 BharatBenz 1014 buses to Sree Travels , a Bengaluru-based tour and travel operator. The delivery marks the largest 10T staff bus handover post-COVID 19, signifying a gradual revival in the economy and the bus market, the company said in a release. Karl-Alexander Seidel, CEO and head of Daimler Buses India, said, “BharatBenz is delighted to have delivered 25 staff buses to Sree Travels. This order demonstrates the customer’s faith in us and points to a recovery in the transport segment. ZURICH: ABB unveiled two additions to its robot family on Wednesday which the Swiss engineering company expects will tap into increased demand for automated production after the COVID-19 crisis. More companies in pharmaceuticals, logistics, electronics and food and beverage manufacturing want to use robots, ABB said, with investment set to increase as companies emerge from lockdowns. ABB, which saw a 90% surge in robot sales in China at the end of 2020, hopes the GoFa and SWIFTI collaborative robots - or cobots - can win orders from customers who have been forced to shut down during lockdowns or have struggled with ill workers.
