· December 6, 2019 ·

Melbourne: If things go as per plan, cricket fans might be able to see Australia and India engage in two day-night Tests in 2021. If that happens, India`s tour of Australia could become the first series ever to feature more than one pink-ball Test. According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, when Australia visit India next year for a limited-overs series in January, a Cricket Australia (CA) delegation, led by its chairman Earl Eddings, is set to meet the new BCCI administration with the question of day-night Tests on the agenda. The report quoted Eddings as saying that even though the negotiations have not yet begun, "we`ll mention that when we`re over there in January talking during the one-day series". Live TV "As you build that trust and build that relationship you have that chat. "Pleasingly they`ve played their first day-night Test and won easily. Now they`ve got through that it might give them the right build-up to it over here. I`ve got no doubt they`ll consider playing one and maybe … [Read more...] about Cricket Australia wants India to play two Day-Night Tests in 2021

This time, I hope for a nail-biting encounter,” says Nithin, who’ll take to the stadium with his friends, all wearing … [Read more...] about Cricket fever grips Thiruvananthapuram as men in blue pad up to face off with the Windies

On a smog-filled Tuesday afternoon, Delhi found some cheer as former cricketer Anil Kumble threw some smart ones at Satya Nadella. The Microsoft CEO is in town to publicise his book, 'Hit Refresh'. And while the tech tycoon recalled having watched his last Test match at the Feroz Shah Kotla grounds, Kumble recalled his Delhi association fondly, having scored his perfect ten and played his last international match in the city. But it was not just Delhi that had the two bonding. From cricket to culture, big data to empathy, Kumble and Nadella had a lot to talk about, and agree upon. Cricket-Patel leads Gujarat to maiden Ranji Trophy title

· January 14, 2017 ·

MUMBAI, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Captain Parthiv Patel hit an attacking 143 on the final day to lead Gujarat to a maiden Ranji Trophy title with a five-wicket victory over heavyweights Mumbai in Indore on Saturday. The diminutive wicketkeeper-batsman also top-scored for his side with 90 in the first innings, giving Gujarat a crucial 100-run lead after Mumbai were restricted to 228 in the title match for India's domestic first-class championship. Mumbai, who were aiming to claim a 42nd title, improved in the second innings and set their opponents a winning target of 312, leaving Gujarat needing to complete the highest final run chase in tournament history to claim the title. Resuming on 47 without loss, Gujarat, who had only featured in one previous Ranji Trophy final back in 1951 in the same city, were reduced to 89-3 before Patel and Manprit Juneja (54) revived the chase with a fourth-wicket stand of 116. The 31-year-old, who hit some streaky boundaries at the start of his knock, added 94 … [Read more...] about Cricket-Patel leads Gujarat to maiden Ranji Trophy title
