Pacquiao, 39, is now a promotional “free agent” after finally severing ties with Top Rank. Last July, Pacquiao stopped Lucas Matthysse of Argentina in the seventh round to wrest the WBA crown in Kuala Lumpur with Top Rank tapping ESPN+ to make the fight available on livestream in the US. MANILA -- Senator and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao answered Floyd Mayweather's challenge for a rematch with what appeared to be a warning that his brash American arch-rival's unbeaten streak was about to end. "50-1. #NoExcuses," Pacquiao said in a post on his Instagram account, which has been viewed nearly 750 times as of 7 a.m. Sunday, 9 hours after it was posted. Two hours before Pacquiao's post, Mayweather said he was "coming back" to take on the Filipino fighter-turned-lawmaker and that he wanted "another 9 figure payday." The 2 Instagram posts appeared to be of the same party where the fighters playfully taunted each other but taken with using different cameras.
