The transport body limits capacity to 32; bars commuters from standing and travelling on buses Keeping in mind the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the city, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to cap the numbers of passengers on each of the buses of the public transport service facility to 32. Passengers will no longer be allowed to commute standing in the PMPML vehicles if the stipulated number of seats are full to their capacities. Drivers and conductors attached to the body have been giv- en special instructions to not take in more passengers once the set number of seats are filled. According to the administration, PMPML buses have varying seating capacities —ranging from 32 to 54. At present, the average occupancy per bus ranges from 32-35. Generally, a bus can carry about 20 per cent standing passengers of the seating capacity of the bus; however, the authorities have now totally stopped this practice. Pramod Kalekar, a worker on the sets of ' Savdhaan India ', was killed in a bike accident on February 13 around 4.30 am, after a shift of nearly 19-20 hours. The deceased was an Assistant Art Director on the crime show , which is being produced by Rajesh Tripathi (Ghummakad Productions). ETimes TV now has it that the shooting of the crime show had been stopped by the Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). "There was no shooting of 'Savdhaan India ' since that ill-fated day. As far as I know, we have been seeing repeat episodes of old," FWICE president B N Tewari tells us. FWICE asked producer Tripathi to pay a compensation of Rs 20 lakh to Pramod's wife, Savita Kalekar. The producer took time to shell out the amount as he argued with FWICE.
