National Award winning television and Bollywood actress Surekha Sikri suffered a brain stroke on Tuesday morning and has been admitted to a local hospital in Mumbai. The 75 year-old Balika Vadhu and Badhaai Ho actress suffered the stroke at 11am and was rushed to the hospital by her nurse. "I rushed her to the hospital and she is currently being treated," the nurse told Mumbai Mirror. This is the second time Sikri has suffered a stroke. She had suffered one in 2018, soon after Badhaai Ho released, and she had not been able to resume work for nearly a year. Sikri faced financial curse more so because of the lockdown where most actors were out of work with no new movies or serials being shot. Also, even after the lockdown was lifted, seniors actors initially were not allowed to shoot.
