A few minutes past ten and MG Road in Gurgaon is unusually desolate. It is odd because this road in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi harbors some of the most prominent malls and shopping complexes of Gurgaon. First among these is the infamous Sahara Mall from where where last week a young working woman was dragged into a car around 2 am and was gangraped by seven men. Two more persons wanted for allegedly shooting dead a 50-year-old man in Hathras whose daughter was sexually harassed by the main accused, who is still free, were arrested, police said on Wednesday. Rohitash Sharma and Nikhil Sharma had a reward of ₹25,000 each on them following the incident on March 1 in the Sasni area of the west Uttar Pradesh district. Four persons were named in the FIR. While three — one Lalit Sharma was arrested soon after the murder — are in police custody, Gaurav Sharma, the main accused is yet to be arrested. While the BJP has linked Gaurav Sharma to the Samajwadi Party, the latter had also shared pictures of the accused along with a BJP MP on social media to hit back. The civic body manages to eliminate 30 black spots in February; targets 70 more H eaps of garbage , urinary spots and the legacy waste – which resulted in Bengaluru earning the notoriety as a ‘garbage city’ – is being eliminated, one by one. The massive task is spearheaded by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP ), in partnership with The Ugly Indians, an anonymous group of volunteers who clean dirty streets. Together, the team has eliminated as many as 30 large black spots in February. Their target is to clean up 100 such spots.
