On Monday, Delta announced a “full fleet interior renovation” that has made the width of its economy class seats 18.5 inches. Singapore Airlines is set to fly from Singapore to Bali using its latest Boeing 787-10 aircraft starting July 2. SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines will deploy from next month its new Boeing 787-10 fleet, as it seeks to strengthen its position as a 5-star carrier to fight off competition from budget airlines. Singapore's flag carrier said it would be the first to fly the 787-10, which will be initially deployed to Osaka and Perth. It will soon service routes whose aircraft cabin products have not been refreshed since 2009. The first 787-10, out of a total order of 49, arrived to a water cannon salute at Singapore Airlines' Changi hub in late March. NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina - Singapore Airlines (SIA) is looking to deploy its new Boeing 787-10 - which it will take delivery of on Sunday night (March 25, US time) - to destinations in Japan, such as Nagoya and Fukuoka. SIA - the first carrier to operate the latest variant of Boeing's Dreamliner - had earlier identified Perth and Osaka as the first two destinations which will use the new plane from May this year. The airline's chief executive, Goh Choon Phong, said in an interview that SIA will receive the first eight of 49 787-10 Dreamliners in the coming financial year, and Japan is one of the destinations on the company's radar.
