The event kicked off yesterday at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (Bitec) and will run until July 1. A total of 15 automobile companies are present with current models while 16 used car dealers are offering a range of previously-owned vehicles that come with special warranties and sales promotions. Show organiser Pattanadesh Asasappakij said this is the 7th year of the event. "Last year there were 252,216 visitors to the show with a total of 3,497 vehicles sold (2,256 new and 1,241 used) worth approximately Bt2.85 billion," he said, adding that the organisers expect a 3-per cent growth in sales this year.
