Mumbai: Tanushree Dutta's lawyer Nitin Satpute has clarified that police has not given clean chit to actor Nana Patekar who was accused of sexual harassment by the actress. While interacting with the media on Friday here, Satpute said: "There were rumours that clean chit has been given to Nana Patekar by the police but the truth is that there is no clean chit given to him. "There is certain process that has to be followed by police where they issue a letter to complainant about the same... So, these are just false rumours and we are going to take action against such rumours. Nana is playing psychological games by spreading false rumours as he wants to get clean chit from the case by the police." Saina Nehwal wins Indonesia Masters after tearful Carolina Marin concedes final due to injury
Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal claimed her first BWF title in two years after three-time world champion Carolina Marin of Spain limped out of the Indonesia Masters final due to a leg injury, Jakarta on Sunday. The London Olympics bronze medallist was trailing 4-10 in the opening game when Marin decided to withdraw from the contest. "It is an important year for all of us. This was not good at all. She is a tough competitor, she started off well and it is unfortunate what happened today," said Saina, who last won a BWF title in 2017 in Malaysia. It is a creditable performance for the Indian, who had suffered a shin injury late last year. "I just came out of injury. "I am not being able to describe how happy I am right now. Every athlete wants to get awards and recognition from the government. It is a dream come true for me. It is my best moment in life," Poovamma told PTI from NIS Patiala, where she is currently undergoing training.The 25-year-old Poovamma, one of the 17 athletes recommended for Arjuna Awards today by a selection panel appointed by the Sports Ministry, won a bronze in the individual women's 400m ace and a gold in the 4x400m relay race in the Incheon Asian Games last year. Keith Farlinger, the global head of BDO International, pushed the pedal, as he and his team went on a 20-km late night cycle ride across Mumbai. Meetings, townhalls and dinners with colleagues are regulars on the agenda when a global CEO comes visiting. But a 20-kilometre cycle ride through the streets of the city, that too in the dead of the night, is unique. And yet, it was the highlight of accounting firm BDO International boss Keith Farlinger’s maiden visit to Mumbai. Apart from his work commitments, Farlinger, who was on a three-day visit to the city earlier in the year, had scheduled a two-hour cycling expedition. He was joined by Stephen Darley, CEO, Asia Pacific, BDO, Milind Kothari, managing partner, BDO India, and 50-odd employees of the firm.
