Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. (ACR) posted a consolidated net income of P1.87 billion in 2020 from P974 million a year ago, on the back of full operation of its power plants in Mindanao amid the pandemic. In a disclosure to the local bourse, ACR said net income attributable to the parent was at P325 million, a significant increase from P148 million recorded in 2019. Eight security volunteers were injured in a bomb attack while patrolling along a highway in Yala's Muang district yesterday, according to police. They were reportedly alerted to the burning of tyres in the area. It is believed that the attackers burned the tyres to lure them before the bomb was triggered. The blast was reported at 1am as the team of volunteers was inspecting the burning tyres on Highway 410 in tambon Budee. Found near the tyres was a suspicious package which turned out to be a plastic bucket. However, as the team was about to leave the scene, a bomb hidden nearby went off. The wounded men were rushed to Yala Regional Hospital where one of them was said to be in critical condition.
