Two men lost their lives while trying to clean a stormwater drain in Surat on Monday. The incident took place in the Nanpura area of Surat where bypassers noticed the two men lying apparently lifeless in the open manhole. The fire department was informed and firefighters pulled the two out of the manhole with ropes. They were taken to SMIMER and NCH hospitals and were declared dead on arrival. breathing apparatus.
