DUMKA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the Congress party for holding protests outside Indian embassies across the world, comparing these acts with that of Pakistan. "For the first time, the Congress party has done what Pakistan has been doing for long. What can be more shameful than that? Will any Indian stage a demonstration outside any Indian embassy in other countries," asked Modi, while addressing an election rally here. As a part of its Bharat Bachao Rally, the Congress party staged protests outside Indian embassies across the world to highlight the problem of unemployment, slump in the economy, and distressed farmers in the country on Saturday. By Amit Kapoor The Indian economy grew at 4.5 percent in the second quarter of the current fiscal year as compared to the same quarter of the previous year. This makes it the SIXTH SUCCESSIVE quarter when the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) has shrunk. If the trend continues for one more quarter, it would make for the longest spell in over two decades since quarterly GDP data is available for India. There is a high likelihood of such a scenario fructifying. The data shows why this is the case. To understand the GDP numbers better, it is crucial to understand the components of the measure. GDP is a sum of four values: government expenditure, consumption, investment and net exports. If the first component of GDP is removed, the value would denote the non-government part of the economy. Tearful, angry cruise passengers return to Sydney after New Zealand volcano tragedy

At the time of the surprise eruption, 47 holiday makers from the ship were on the island. So far, the official death toll stands at 16, although two people remain missing and around 25 are currently being treated at highly specialized burns units in Australian and New Zealand hospitals. The passengers were reported to be in an extremely tearful and somber mood when disembarking at the Circular Quay terminal.
