New Delhi: Bengaluru-headquartered deep-tech startup Log 9 Materials has launched rapid charging battery packs for electric vehicles , the company said in a release. Log 9’s team has used supercapacitor technology and Graphene to develop this battery which is said to give a range of more than 70km for electric two-wheelers and 60-80 km for electric three-wheelers, the release said. It takes only less than 15 minutes for the full charging of these batteries. The company claims that these battery packs offer up to 5x power, resulting in increased load-bearing capacity and acceleration. They are safer and more fire and impact-resistant than lithium-ion batteries. The company specifically targets the B2B last-mile delivery for the deployment of these rapid charging batteries. For this, the startup said, it has partnered with several players in the logistics, mobility, and e-commerce space to run pilots for them. Capitol defenders blame bad intelligence for deadly breach
Faulty intelligence was to blame for the outmanned Capitol defenders' failure to anticipate the violent mob that invaded the iconic building and halted certification of the presidential election on January 6, the officials who were in charge of security declared in their first public testimony on the insurrection. The officials, including the former chief of the Capitol Police, on Tuesday pointed their fingers at various federal agencies — and each other — for their failure to defend the building as supporters of then-President Donald Trump overwhelmed security barriers, broke windows and doors and sent lawmakers fleeing from the House and Senate chambers. Five people died as a result of the riot, including a Capitol Police officer and a woman who was shot as she tried to enter the House chamber with lawmakers still inside. South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Monday that his government is eager for talks with Japan to improve relations following years of bitter feuding over historical grievances, adding that those unresolved issues should not stand in the way of developing “future-oriented” ties. “There have been times where issues of the past weren’t separated from those of the future and became intermingled with each other. This has impeded forward-looking development,” Mr. Moon said in a nationally televised speech commemorating the anniversary of a 1919 Korean uprising against Japanese colonial rule. “The Korean government is always ready to sit down and have talks with the Japanese government,” he said. South Korea and Japan have been struggling to repair relations that sank to their lowest point in decades in 2019 following South Korean court rulings that ordered Japanese companies to pay reparations to Koreans who were forced to work in their factories during World War II.
