“This is based on the life of a couple I know. Many of my friends have also narrated similar instances. The film is not against romance. But it has a word of caution for parents who blindly trust their children,” says Binoy, who had assisted several directors in Malayalam before he started working with Sathyan Anthikkad. … [Read more...] about ‘Fresh Juice’ looks at what happens when romance takes a dark turn

It was only a matter of time before India surpassed the US in mobile app downloads, given its population and rising smartphone penetration. In 2017, Indians downloaded 12.1 billion apps on their phones and tablets, compared to 11.3 billion in the US, according to an annual report by App Annie, an analytics company. In fact, the 31-year-old has not reached the three-figure mark in his last 19 innings. His last century came in the day-night Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata last year when he scored 136. This is not the first instance when Kohli hasn't been able to score big in his stellar career. Between February to October 2014, the Indian … [Read more...] about Virat Kohli’s lean patch on New Zealand tour continues
Be that as it may, the best omelettes I have eaten after the Parsi pora are the Asian omelettes. Any Singapore food court hawker will serve you an oyster omelette, also called orh luak, with a side of spicy chilli sauce and a wedge of lime. It is to die for. Likewise the egg foo young, which is a Cantonese dish you can find easily in Old Kolkata. It can be made with eggs and pak choy or stuffed with barbecue pork (char siu) or ham. Often, Chinese homes just use any leftover meat, chicken or shrimp to rustle up a quick omelette. … [Read more...] about How the omelette won my heart: Kunal Vijayakar on his love for the Parsi pora
