The 2019 Lok Sabha election in West Bengal is a traumatic memory for Ali Hussain Mansuri, a resident of Barrackpore, about 50 km Kolkata. Here is a breakdown of the restrictions when they come into effect. Restricted: Masks A face mask or face covering must be carried at all times. They must be worn inside retail stores where the indoor space is 2,000 square metres or more. This would include places such as shopping centres, retail stores inside shopping centres, department stores, electronics stores, furniture stores, hardware stores or supermarkets. The day-long 'Bharat Vyapar Bandh' called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) evoked a lukewarm response with most shops and commercial establishments open through the day. The traders' body, however, claimed that shopkeepers supported its nationwide business shutdown call to protest against issues related to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and "unethical business practices of foreign e-commerce companies". Delhi: Various markets in the national capital were open on Friday during the Bandh with many saying that despite supporting the cause, they did not want to suffer another day of losses. Chemists in city have been asked to counsel people who approach with symptoms Given the rise in number of COVID cases in the state, and the possibility of a second wave, the Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) has asked pharmacists to refrain from giving medicines for fever, cough, cold, body ache and flu without a valid prescription . The drug stores have been also asked to maintain the record of phone number and address of customers, who take prescribed drugs. The FDA officials have issued orders in this regard to all chemists and drug stores in Pune division — Pune, Solapur, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur districts. The chemists cannot provide medicines for flu-like symptoms without a valid prescription. Even the details of the doctors and hospitals that prescribe the drugs have to be maintained by the shops.
