Consumers have been spared of another increase in fuel prices with oil marketing companies deciding to keep petrol and diesel rates static for fourth consecutive day on the back of softening seen in international oil markets. Accordingly, petrol continues to be priced at Rs 91.17 a litre and diesel Rs 81.47 a litre in the capital. Across the country as well the petrol and diesel price remain unchanged. After a spike in global oil prices seen over last two weeks with crude price jumping close to $67 a barrel, prices have now fallen to around $ 63 a barrel over indications that production cuts would be eased by oil producers from next month. SHANGHAI: A dollar bond issued by Chongqing Energy Investment Group Co Ltd, a state-owned energy developer, plunged this week amid reports that the company defaulted on bank loans. The midprice on Chongqing Energy's $500 million 5.625% March 2022 bond stood at $34.25 on Wednesday, down from $63.50 on Friday. Local media reported on Wednesday that Chongqing Energy was unable to repay 915 million yuan ($141.57 million) worth of bank loans. Reuters was not able to independently confirm the reports. A Chongqing Energy spokesman said that the company would issue a statement to address the rumour. Chongqing Energy is due to make a coupon payment on the dollar bond on March 18. Fitch Ratings , which rates the bond BBB, put it on rating watch negative last month, reflecting what it said was a possible reassessment of the company's support by the local government. A research review suggests physicians should work to more aggressively prevent pediatric diabetes. The results of the review were published in the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine. Because few pediatric Type 2 diabetes treatment options are available, prevention is unusually important. To improve health outcomes, the paper's authors recommend physicians conduct regular screenings of children and adolescents, adopt a high level of suspicion, and intervene early and often with families who have children at risk for prediabetes and T2 diabetes.
