NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's session. Shares of IDFC BANK (up 8.64 per cent) , Federal Bank (up 2.92 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 1.24 per cent) , RBLBANK (up 0.69 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers. While Bandhan Bank (down 3.28 per cent) , Axis Bank (down 2.44 per cent) , HDFC Bank (down 1.2 per cent) , Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.14 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down 1.04 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.58 per cent) were the top losers in the index. The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.78 per cent down at 19020.45 around 11:50AM. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 10.50 points at 9479.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 111.69 points at 32088.9. Shares of Wipro (up 4.89 per cent) , MPhasis (up 3.96 per cent) , Just Dial (up 2.43 per cent) , Mindtree (up 1.72 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.09 per cent) and Info Edge (India) (up 0.41 per cent) were among the top gainers. While Infosys (down 2.78 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (down 0.88 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.87 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers in the index. Mumbai: Shares of Vodafone Idea witnessed volatile trading and pared early gains on Friday, but still managed to close nearly 13 per cent higher after the telecom major clarified that media reports on US internet giant Google’s interest in the company were incorrect. The stock pared intra-day gains to settle 12.71 per cent higher at Rs 6.56 a share on BSE. Earlier in the day, it had risen as much as 34.90 per cent to Rs 7.85 a share. The stock is still up 55.82 per cent for last one month, significantly outperforming benchmark Sensex, which is down 0.9 per cent over the same period.
