Google is adding a new feature to how you see top results when you search for news. So far, when people have been searching for news, they would get to see the two top stories and then a horizontal, scrolling carousel of search results. Now, on mobile devices, you will get to see multiple carousels of news stories on the same topic you have searched for. According to Google’s blog post, there will also be additional content like “notable quotes and related opinion pieces”. According to Google, this change will allow for “more high-quality content beyond the most recent coverage as well as more diverse sources”. Pankaja Munde says she won’t quit, dares BJP to remove her
Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP leader Pankaja Munde on Thursday rubbished rumours of her leaving the party, but made her disappointment clear by announcing that she will no longer be a part of the state core team. Addressing a rally in Beed district on the occasion of the birth anniversary of her father Gopinath Munde, Pankaja said BJP was free to decide on her continuance in the party. She has been organising this annual event for last five years but this rally had generated a lot of interest amid speculation that she was leaving the BJP after her shock defeat in the October 21 Assembly poll. Pankaja recently wrote on Facebook stating that in the changed political scenario there was the need for her to see how she could chalk her path ahead and serve her people. Veteran journalist Rajat Sharma now DDCA boss, beats Madan Lal
Veteran journalist Rajat Sharma today beat World Cup winning India cricketer Madan Lal by 517 votes to become the new president of Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA). Sharma, the chairman and editor in chief of India TV news channel, got a total of 1531 votes while former Test cricketer Lal could only poll 1004 votes. The third candidate in the fray, advocate Vikas Singh, got 232 votes only. The results of the DDCA polls were announced today and Sharma's group swept the elections winning all 12 seats. The results were on the expected lines as Sharma has the backing of BJP with the IOA president Narinder Batra throwing in all his might. Batra incidentally is a former DDCA treasurer.
