KURUKSHETRA: A total of 1,339 students, who passed out from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, were conferred degrees at a convocation ceremony held here on Thursday. Union defence minister Rajnath Singh awarded degrees to the students. Degrees were awarded to 847 students of Bachelor of Technology (BTech), 317 of Master of Technology (MTech), 24 of Master of Business Administration (MBA), 73 of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and 78 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD). Rajnath also gave away prizes and institute awards to nearly 100 students including the toppers. He left for New Delhi in the afternoon.
