Video PlayerClose NUR-SULTAN, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan will assemble 17 sets of Mi-8AMT and Mi-171 transport helicopters to be produced by Russia, the country's Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development said Saturday. According to a trilateral contract signed Saturday by Kazakhstan Engineering, Kazakhstan's Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405 (ARP 405) and Russian Helicopters, the 17 sets, worth 460 million U.S. dollars, will be produced in Russia's Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and assembled in ARP 405, the ministry said. The first batch of eight helicopters is expected to be delivered next year, and the remaining ones by 2026, it said. "The technology for assembling heavy helicopters is introduced to Kazakhstan for the first time. This will be a significant step in the development of Kazakhstan's helicopter industry," said Kuanysh Bishimov, chairman of the board of Kazakhstan Engineering. New Delhi: Four buses were set ablaze by a mob and two fire officials were injured in stone-pelting as the protests against the newly enacted Citizenship Act entered the third day in the national capital on Sunday. The Delhi Fire Services official said four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. This comes amid the protest held by the students of Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. However, as per the report, Jamia students were not involved in the brawl, the varsity union said. Besides, a students' group of the varsity also said they had nothing to do with the arson and violence. Rather they alleged that "local elements" joined the protest and "disrupted" it. They said they returned to campus as the protest turned violent and were protesting on the campus peacefully.
