CHENNAI: Automaker TVS will invest about Rs 800 crore over the next three years across its businesses, including for ramping up its plant capacities, Chairman and Managing Director Venu Srinivasan said here today. TVS is into two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing. "We are planning to invest in the next three years about Rs 800 crore in motorcycles, castings, plastics across our businesses," Srinivasan told reporters here. The investments include expansion of plant capacities and also in the Joint Venture with BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler division of German luxury car maker BMW, with which it stuck a deal a few years ago. "Typically, the investments for motorcycles will be going from 2 million to 2.5 million. TIRUPATI: Two companies of the TVS Group today made an offering of Rs 2 crore to the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala here. Chennai-based TVS Motor Company and Sundaram Clayton offered Rs one crore each to the hill temple in the form of a Demand Draft, Talari Ravi, PRO of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which manages the shrine, told PTI.
