In its advisory, the traffic authority said roads will be closed in Taguig City, where Xi temporarily stays. Xi is staying at the Shang-rila The Fort, Bonifacio Global City where he is expected to hold some of his official activities. The Chinese leader is also set to depart Manila on Wednesday afternoon. This prompted road closures in the areas of BGC. On the other hand, classes and government work in Western Bicutan, Fort Bonifacio, and Pinagsama, Taguig City were also suspended due to the state visit. Robertson Wed., Sept. 19, 2018 BENNETTSVILLE, S.C.—As the pounding rains from Hurricane Florence finally ended, Lutrice Garcia left the shelter where she had spent several nights on a cot and tried to head home. But floodwaters from overflowing Crooked Creek covered the road and an emergency responder told her water was seeping into the houses. The 28-year-old nurse had left photo albums and other important keepsakes stashed on high shelves before she fled Friday. She worried about the wedding dress she plans to wear on her big day in November, still hanging in the closet. With the creek still rising, Garcia mostly wondered if the home she recently finished repairing from Hurricane Matthew’s flood damage in 2016 would once again wind up uninhabitable. Her mother lives nearby, but already has eight other relatives under her roof. Ambulance leaves Thai cave on 2nd day of rescue operation MAE SAI, Thailand — An ambulance with flashing lights left the site of a flooded cave in northern Thailand where a youth soccer team has been trapped for two weeks, just hours after the second phase of a rescue operation was launched on Monday. The ambulance drove toward a helipad, where a helicopter was seen taking off shortly after to the cheers of the crowd below. The same process was used Sunday for at least one of the four boys rescued in the first attempt at getting the 12 boys and their coach out of the underground complex. Chiang Rai acting Gov.
