Recent viral videos from a Victoria's Secret outlet in a mall in Kota Kinabalu show a big, unruly crowd pushing to get into the store. The videos also show that the commotion caused the clear entrance shutters to become dislodged repeatedly, and that the situation was so chaotic that security staff were forced to attempt crowd control. ‘Victoria Secret’ den suspect denied bail
The Criminal Court has approved the detention of a man accused of human trafficking following a raid on a massage parlour in Bangkok. Boonsap Amornratanasiri, 55, was believed to be the chief supervisor of the women who worked at the Victoria Secret massage parlour in the Rama IX area.He faces five charges related to trafficking girls under 15 for prostitution. The Department of Special Investigation officials sought permission to detain him pending the questioning of 22 more witnesses. He denies all the charges.Criminal suspects can be detained for seven 12-day periods, or 84 days in total, before formal charges are laid.Mr Boonsap's relatives put up 500,000 baht in cash as surety for bail but the court turned down the bail request, saying he was accused of committing offences against children, which would carry severe punishment.
